Recognition Awards

(l to r) Forty Year Members Rogers Roberts and Cliff Fridge were recognized with a
40-Year pin
and Certificate of Achievement by 2007-2008 Chapter President Mike Hilliard. 


(l to r) Outstanding CPE was awarded to Robert Barnhill (Lubbock) for his continued
support of the CPE Tax Expo; Steve Goodman took home Outstanding Speaker honors
for his consistently high participant ratings.

(l to r)Past Presidents Elwood Domaschk (1997-1998) and Don Clanton (1987-1988)
were elected Society Honorary Life Members; Bob Lemer received the Distinguished
Service to the Professional award.


(l to r) Awards Committee Chair Pat Durio presented Steve King, chair of the Northeast
Satellite, with the award for Outstanding Committee.

(center) Jan Johnson was named Outstanding CPA of the Year for assuming the
leadership  role in the planning of this year's Financial Reporting Symposium with
(2nd from l)  Neel Foster and (r) Phil Wedemeyer receiving Special Recognition for
their invaluable support of the 28th annual event.

award for her design of special event and publication print pieces as well as being
recognized for 25 years of service to the Society; Society Membership Coordinator
>Carol Spencer was also recognized as Most Creative for her work on the Society's
charity auctions; Cherish Loog was named Rookie of the Year in honor of her
community service work through the Society, and Society CPE Director Judith Butcher

was recognized for 20 years of service to the Society.


(l) Mike Spartalis was presented the  Stan & Margaret Voelkel Contribution
to Education Award by the Voelkels for his dedication to Accounting Career Education.
